The Foundation of Light’s endeavours to continuously support people during the COVID-19 pandemic have been recognised by the Exercise Professionals for Mental Health network.
During lockdown, Foundation of Light Inclusion Coordinator Kevin Darke complied a 30-Day Challenge to keep those who take part in our programmes active while they were staying safe at home.
Those on the Get Set to Go initiative, as well as members of Your Health and Hopewood Park Hospital all took part in the daily activities and shared their efforts, keeping in touch via social media.
The challenges provided a great resource as part of the Washington Mind partnership and the videos were also used by the Cumbria, Northumberland and Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust.
The Exercise Professionals for Mental Health Network were keen to showcase the good practice by the Foundation as the nation during national Mental Health Awareness Week.
Steven, founder of the network added: “The 30 day challenge is a great little initiative from the Foundation of Light; an excellent example of their community links.”
It's the final day of the @SAFCFoL 30 Day Challenge💪
