Finance Officer (35 hours per week)

We are seeking a highly motivated team player to be part of the Finance Department.ย  This is an ideal opportunity for an individual who is working towards their AAT qualification, or are newly qualified.

This role is to assist with the financial requirements of this dynamic and thriving Group of companies.ย  Experience in using Sage 200, or equivalent, is required and the successful candidate will have the ability to cover all areas of financial processing including sales ledger, purchase ledger, cashbook, month-end journals and general day-to-day tasks within a busy finance function.

The base for the post is the Beacon of Light, Sunderland.

We are seeking a highly motivated team player to be part of the Skills Team to fulfil the exciting role of Functional Skills Officer.

Through our pioneering facility, the Beacon of Light, it is the Foundationโ€™s ambition to develop the employability of people across Sunderland, South Tyneside and County Durham through quality education and skills delivery.

Working with our Skills Team, you will deliver qualifications from Entry Level to Level 1 and 2 in Maths, including GCSE and functional skills. You will have the ability to support learners to achieve their goals and qualifications through outstanding teaching and learning, whilst also ensuring the quality of delivery in line with Ofsted requirements and Foundation of Light policies and procedures.

Sunderland AFC Regional Talent Club Chartered Physiotherapist (casual contract)

The Foundation of Light are looking to appoint a Chartered Physiotherapist for season 2019-20 with responsibility for the medical welfare of the players on the Sunderland RTC programme.

One of only 13 Regional Talent Clubs to carry Tier 1 status, Sunderland RTC is an essential pillar of the FA Girls’ England Talent Pathway and is part-funded by the FA and supported by Durham County Football Association.

The RTC is recognised as one of the best in the country based on a number of factors including facilities, quality of coaching, education and coach and player development.

Players take part in a comprehensive training programme covering all areas and concepts of football, with teams taking part in the RTC Tier 1 North League against elite clubs including Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United.

This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to continue the growth of women and girlsโ€™ football in the North East.

Successful applicants must hold:

  • Current Physiotherapy Degree
  • Membership of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and Health Professions Council
  • A recognised FA First Aid/CFAS qualification

The role requires approximately 12 hours per week and includes working evenings and weekends. There is an opportunity to be paid additional hours for working on Wednesday afternoons.

Are you confident in a sales environment and able to communicate on all levels? Foundation of Light are looking for confident, outgoing people to sell ‘Grand in your Hand’ lottery tickets.

Job Role:

  • Selling lottery tickets to SAFC supporters on a match day, inside the Stadium of Light
  • Answering queries and giving information about Foundation of Light, SAFC’s official charity
  • Handling cash and taking payment for the ‘Grand in Your Hand’ tickets
  • Being highly motivated and able to sell to target audiences
  • Wearing Foundation of Light lottery seller uniform
