FOUNDATION’S GALA DINNER SET TO BE A KNIGHT TO REMEMBER
The Foundation of Light today announced that international music sensation Beverley Knight will headline the charity’s Gala Dinner on Thursday 23rd April 2020, at the Beacon of Light. The annual event celebrates the achievements of Sunderland AFC’s official charity and the impact it has made to lives in the North East. In front of special guests, the Gala Dinner showcases the inspiring and heart-warming stories of children, families and adults who have overcome adversity or achieved excellence in sport or education. Celebrating 25 years in the music industry, Beverley’s strong reputation as a bona fide soul vocalist has earnt her admiration and respect from some of the biggest names in the industry including Prince, David Bowie, Stevie Wonder, Quincy Jones, Chaka Khan, Andrea Bocelli, Tom Jones, Ronnie Wood and more. The award-winning artist will perform songs from her new album BK25: Beverley Knight with The Leo Green Orchestra at The Royal Festival Hall, which sees Beverley’s powerhouse vocals capture the very essence of what the public loves – her energy and consistency as a formidable live performer.
I am honoured to be performing at the Foundation of Light’s Gala Dinner, at this unique venue. I am really looking forward to this very special evening, celebrating the positive difference the Foundation has made to so many people’s lives.
