Coaches Clinic returns
Foundation of Light is delighted to announce the return of its highly popular Coaches Clinic at a new venue – the world class Beacon of Light. The FREE initiative was set up to develop grassroots football coaching, ensuring that coaches get more out of coaching and players get more out of playing. Open to all coaches regardless of qualification, the first Coaches Clinic of the 2018-19 season will take place on Monday 10th September (6pm-9pm) focusing on 'Possession with a Purpose.' During the session, which will be split into theory and practical workshops, special guest coach Aaron Croft (Middlesbrough Football Club) will discuss and demonstrate how, as a Foundation Phase Lead within a Category 1 Academy, he encourages players to retain possession in a purposeful manner and not just for the sake of keeping the ball. Jamie Wright, Assistant Director (Sales and Delivery), at Foundation of Light said: "The Coaches Clinic workshops are specifically designed to support coaches at all levels, providing an insight to how some of the North East's best coaches approach their sessions.
We are delighted to welcome Aaron back to the Beacon of Light for the first Coaches Clinic of the new season where he will share his knowledge and experience of coaching academy players of all levels and abilities.
"The evening will also be a fantastic opportunity to show clubs and their coaches the amazing facilities at the Beacon, including our state-of-the-art 4G rooftop barn which is ideal for winter training."
The Coaches Clinic is FREE to attend but pre-booking is essential. To secure your place, call Jamie Wright on 0191 5634727 or email jamie.wright@foundationoflight.co.uk.
