REF 002: Skills Curriculum and Quality Coordinator

The Foundation is seeking a highly motivated individual to fulfil the exciting role of Skills Curriculum and Quality Coordinator, within our Skills team.

Through our pioneering facility, the Beacon of Light, it is the Foundation’s ambition to develop the employability of people across Sunderland, South Tyneside and County Durham through quality Skills training.

Working with our Skills Team, you will coordinate a range of programmes within the Skills delivery portfolio including, employability provision, study programmes, Entry-level to Level 1 BTEC programmes and apprenticeships, ensuring outstanding quality of provision is delivered through accurate monitoring and evaluation systems.

You will have proven ability of achieving ‘good or better’ teaching, learning and assessment practices and you will work closely with the Head of Skills to drive the Foundation’s provision forward to ensure outstanding outcomes for learners.

REF: 001 Sunderland AFC Regional Talent Club Chartered Physiotherapist (casual contract)

The Foundation of Light are looking to appoint a Chartered Physiotherapist for season 2019-20 with responsibility for the medical welfare of the players on the Sunderland RTC programme.

One of only 13 Regional Talent Clubs to carry Tier 1 status, Sunderland RTC is an essential pillar of the FA Girls’ England Talent Pathway and is part-funded by the FA and supported by Durham County Football Association.

The RTC is recognised as one of the best in the country based on a number of factors including facilities, quality of coaching, education and coach and player development.

Players take part in a comprehensive training programme covering all areas and concepts of football, with teams taking part in the RTC Tier 1 North League against elite clubs including Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United.

This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to continue the growth of women and girls’ football in the North East.

Successful applicants must hold:

  • Current Physiotherapy Degree
  • Membership of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and Health Professions Council
  • A recognised FA First Aid/CFAS qualification

The role requires approximately 12 hours per week and includes working evenings and weekends. There is an opportunity to be paid additional hours for working on Wednesday afternoons.

Foundation of Light are looking to recruit passionate and enthusiastic Football Coaches to work across our football pathway with participants in age groups ranging from 5 years to 16 years.

Our coaching staff must be professional, forward thinking and dedicated to achieving our objectives as part of a fast moving and hard-working team.

Applicants must currently hold a minimum of an FA level 2 football coaching certificate and FA Emergency First Aid Level 1 Certificate.

Are you confident in a sales environment and able to communicate on all levels? Foundation of Light are looking for confident, outgoing people to sell ‘Grand in your Hand’ lottery tickets.

Job Role:

  • Selling lottery tickets to SAFC supporters on a match day, inside the Stadium of Light
  • Answering queries and giving information about Foundation of Light, SAFC’s official charity
  • Handling cash and taking payment for the ‘Grand in Your Hand’ tickets
  • Being highly motivated and able to sell to target audiences
  • Wearing Foundation of Light lottery seller uniform
