Building skills and changing lives

Help us drive the local economy forward

The Beacon of Light World of Work Zone empowers young people and returners to work, and instils confidence and skills that inspires them to realise their potential within the workplace.

This unique learning zone is an asset to local industry, helping fill the region’s skills gap creating motivated, skilful and qualified workers.

Through seven engaging and stimulating learning units we deliver occupational and skills training matched to regional needs in industries including: construction; catering and hospitality; engineering; customer service; and more.

There are four ways you can support the World of Work zone:

  1. Sponsor delivery of skills and qualifications
  2. Sponsor a learning unit
  3. Provide work placements for learners
  4. Take advantage of our Apprenticeship offer

To find out more call Clare Wilson on 0191 5634733 or email clare.wilson@foundationoflight.co.uk

Arriva is passionate about developing skills in the local economy and...the Beacon is a platform to provide more opportunities for people to learn those skills and find fresh employment opportunities.
