Premier League Primary Stars
Premier League Primary Stars is a national curriculum-linked education programme using the appeal of the Premier League and professional football clubs to inspire children to learn, be active and develop important life skills.
Based on the Premier League principles of being ambitious, connected, fair and inspiring, stickers, certificates and posters are available to support those principles in the classroom.
The programme provides a wide variety of free downloadable resources for teachers across Key Stages 1 and 2 in English, Maths, PE and PSHE.
Children’s authors Cressida Cowell (“How to Train Your Dragon”) and Dan Freedman (“Jamie Johnson”) helped create the English resources, while mathematician Rachel Riley, from Channel 4’s Countdown, is a consultant in creating the maths teaching resources.
The image of women's football has changed dramatically especially since the Olympics with so many young girls inspired to play football. It is important we raise awareness of the opportunities available to them if they want to follow a career within the sport.
