Scholar Cieran joins up with Three Lions

Foundation of Light Shildon Scholar Cieran Jackson has joined up with England Schools ahead of the Centenary Shield. The youngster will be part of the U18s squad who will face Republic of Ireland tonight at Luton Town's Kenilworth Stadium (7pm KO) before facing Scotland (23rd March), Wales (29th March) and Northern Ireland (6th April) in the annual showpiece. The clash will be shown live on www.freesports.tv from 6.45pm available on Sky channel 424, BT channel 95 and Freeview channel 95. The Foundation of Light’s two-year Football Scholarship gives players the chance to represent Sunderland AFC in a national league whilst working towards nationally recognised qualifications that can see players progress into higher education.
