Pudsey plays important role
Lockdown restrictions didn’t stop youngsters making the most of this year’s Children In Need celebration. The annual fundraiser marked its 40th anniversary this year and the organisation has been one of the Foundation of Light’s longest running partners. Since joining forces in 2006, Children In Need have backed our Making Moves programme, providing opportunities for thousands of youngsters and children who have a wide range of disabilities to take part in a variety of sports and activities. This past week, kids engaged in a variation of Pudsey Bear-themed activities, including poster colouring and pizza making. Michael Colclough, Head of Informal and Community Education said: “Children In Need are a fantastic supporter of the Foundation and they have been part of the team for over 15 years. “They allow us to run programmes that empower young people, giving them access to activities they might not normally get a chance to and helping us make a real difference.”
