Lambton Run returns

Entries are now open for one of the North East’s most unique and popular challenge events.

Foundation of Light’s Lambton 10k and 3k Runs return to the Lambton Estate on Sunday 24th June, set in beautiful surroundings which include the magnificent Lambton Castle.

Since launching in 2009, thousands of runners have taken part in the events raising vital funds to support the charity’s work across the region.

Perfectly timed for those training towards the Great North Run in September, the 10k run is a rural undulating course which has proved popular with club and recreational runners alike.

Suitable for families and runners of all ages and abilities, the 3k Family Fun Run is perfect for younger participants.

The Lambton 10k and 3k runs are one of our most popular fundraising events and this year will be no different.

We expect places to fill up fast so those interested in taking part should register now to guarantee their place at the starting line.

Jemma Garrett, Foundation of Light Events Manager

Entry fees cost £16.00 for UKA Members and £18.00 for all unattached runners (10k Run) or £10.00 for UKA Members and £12.00 for all unattached runners (3k Run).

The 10k starts at 10am, with the 3k off at 10.10am.

PLEASE NOTE: The minimum age for the 10km is 15 years. There is no minimum age for the 3km however under 9s must be accompanied by an adult.

If you are up for the challenge, sign up online or call 0191 5515153.

Missed out on the Great North Run? Why not run for Foundation of Light? Find out more by calling 0191 5515365 or emailing jemma.garrett@foundationoflight.co.uk.
