More than 400 runners of all ages got their running shoes on for one of the North East’s most unique challenge events.
Foundation of Light’s annual Lambton Run has become a firm fixture in the running calendar with experienced and enthusiastic runners striding through the grounds of the beautiful Lambton Estate in County Durham.
The 10k race was won by Houghton Harriers Lee Dover with a time of 35.52m while Sunderland Harriers’ Alice Smith successfully defended her fastest woman title with a time of 40.05m.
Meanwhile, the 3Kย Fun Run featured families walking, jogging and toddling their way around a shorter route while proudly wearing their favourite teams’ colours.
All proceeds from the event, which is organised by Foundation of Light, will be used to help fund the charity’s wide range of sport and education-based programmes, which benefit young people and families across the North East.
