Back In The Game Employability Programme

Our free and unique Back in the Game employability programme here at the Foundation of Light is designed to support jobseekers across the North East in finding work by raising skills and confidence while assisting learners throughout the application to work process.

Designed to increase motivation and self-esteem amongst participants, our interactive Back in the Game course consists of a mixture of classroom, practical and physical activities which all enable participants to enhance their employment prospects.

Delivered from the Beacon of Light and the Foundation’s outreach sites across the North East, the programme has helped more than one in three learners find a job during or within six weeks of finishing the course with local businesses.

In 2015, Back in the Game was awarded the National Project of the Year prize as part of Adult Learners Week for its remarkable achievements.

YOU WILL RECEIVE:

  • Nationally recognised qualifications.
  • Help with CV writing, job seeking, interview techniques and application support tailored to your needs.
  • Real job opportunities matched to your skills and experience

Having been out of work for 16 years to raise my family, Back in the Game taught me the correct way to compose a CV and cover letter. We refreshed our maths and English skills and also did a work placement. The course started in February and I started working at the end of March. How is that for a positive outcome! Thank you!

Vicki, former Back in the Game learner
