As of Monday, the Beacon of Light will reopen its doors to host scores of youngsters for our summer Holiday Course programme.
It’s been 140 long days, but after successfully delivering virtual alternatives back in May, it’s great to be able to offer football, dance and disability multi-sports sessions in person once again!
Hosted by the Foundation of Light, football and dance camps are available each day of summer holidays throughout August and can still be booked online.
On Monday, the multi-use games area and five-a-side pitches will be once again available for the public to book:
All bookings should be made over the phone on 0191 563 4777, please note at the moment, the barn and indoor football are not available to book as we have no return date as yet.
The Beacon is fully committed to the well-being of our customers, participants and staff, and has created a pledge to ensure the highest safety standards are adhered to.
All activities will follow government and sport-specific national governing body guidance and customers will be advised of the regulations at the time of booking and when arriving at the Beacon.
Copies of the Beacon’s risks assessments are also available for customers, click here >>>
The following week (commencing Monday 10 August) the Beacon of Light will launch some indoor activities, funded by Get Out Get Active (GOGA).
These include fitness, table tennis and badminton and thanks to the funding support, will be offered at reduced pay-as-you-play rates starting from just £2.
